Interior
What is it like on the inside?
This is a big, luxurious crossover. Tick the right order boxes and you get quilted leather, monster hifi, plus electrically reclining rear seats with their own seat-back entertainment screens.
A third-row pair of seats is also on the options list, though it's some way short of X7 or Discovery room back there. Which is why the GV80 doesn't have the silhouette of a cowshed.
Almost every surface that can be is skinned in stitched leather, or a good imitation. The wood is real wood, although apparently Genesis buyers don't want anything that looks too real. Some of the knurled 'metals' are plastic too, but it's all assembled with accuracy and conviction.
The screen displays are strong in resolution and response, and the graphics are clear. It's a touchscreen in the mid-dash, but you can also control it by a glass-topped rotary knob with handwriting sensing.
The climate panel is a screen too, with haptic response, and a couple of big temperature knobs. Works better than the Audi equivalent. Other things you need to find fast have their own switches.
