Japanese giant with a soupcon of Britishness courtesy of its huge Sunderland factory. Nissan offers an array of sensible, economical hatches and SUVs, interspersed with the odd not-very-sensible, not-very-economical but very excellent sports car. Went big, early on crossovers with the Qashqai. Went big, early on electric with the Leaf. Long-in-the-tooth GT-R remains the ultimate blue-collar supercar.
