car reviews

Perhaps not the same achievement the old 675LT was, but a brilliant supercar nonetheless

Unless you need proper off-road ability and colossal towing capacity, give this one a miss

More off-roadery than many in this sector, but sadly lacking any other USP against some talented rivals

Won't set the pulse racing, but it'll probably make your wallet happy. A worthy, forgettable city car

Practical and liveable, but also blooming good to drive. The 911 is *the* all-round sports car

The car that epitomises Aston’s brand values better than any other. Massively potent twin turbo V12 up front, rear-drive, 2+2 layout inside.

Praise be, BMW’s given us a proper M driver’s car. The M2 Competition is simply outstanding.

The simplest and most exciting Toyota in years is also a real pleasure to drive

Facelifted Sportage gains mild hybrid diesel tech, but it’s not enough to radically alter the class landscape

A much better all-rounder than many people give it credit for. Maserati's refreshed SUV deserves a wider audience

About as painless to drive and own as a family car gets. The Tucson ain’t interesting, but it’s very good all the same

Its looks are as divisive as its very proposition, but getting noticed is part of its job and the new X4 sure does that

A coupe that majors on comfort and luxury. Unless you go for the C63 AMG, in which case it's NUTS

McLaren's most extreme road car ever wants to set new standards in track performance. Does.

Mercedes nails it. The C-Class cabrio is pleasant to drive but majors on open-top relaxation

Mitsubishi has stolen a march on the oppo here. In practice, it's not quite so impressive

A ruddy triumph. You just have to celebrate that someone, somewhere still thinks it’s worth engineering and developing a car like this. A car unlike any other.

Contender for "most ironically named car in the world" is cheap and practical, but suffers for being built on an older platform.

The 500 looks tempting and fun where so many cars in this segment are drab.

22nd Century limo looks, stunted by 1980s powertrain response. The ultimate left-field choice.

A convincing mini-A8, but not as complete as the brilliant BMW 5 Series
